As the Principal Interior Designer of Kira Krümm International Design, Kira Krümm has built an exceptional design firm with an extensive emphasis on innovation, integrity and client satisfaction. Her contemporaries regard her as a visionary and a virtuoso, while her clients praise her creative passion and consistent professionalism. Yet always, it is Ms. Krümm's unforgettable interior designs that form the foundation of her business, revealing her artistic background and international influences by beautifully balancing the elegant and ethereal.

Ms. Krümm's extensive list of accomplishments has secured her a spot among the country's most important interior designers. As the recipient of multiple industry honors, her work has been celebrated in numerous nationally circulated periodicals, such as Florida International Magazine, Florida Design, and Luxury Homes, as well as many Southwest Florida's regional publications including Gulfshore Life and Naples Illustrated, to name a few. Ms. Krümm's design projects have been featured in multiple national hardbound publications, including Florida Design's The Best of Florida Design in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2010; Spectacular Homes of Florida, The Best of Today's Interior Design; and most recently Showhouses II: A Decorator's Tour and 100 Florida Architects and Interior Designers in 2010. Additionally, Ms. Krümm's work has appeared on the popular national cable station HGTV's program "Ultimate Bedrooms for Romance." In 2011, Ms. Krumm's work was selected for the cover of the prestigious annual design publication, Home & Design magazine. The stunning 2011 annual issue also features an exclusive twelve-page Home Tour of the spectacular high-rise Cover residence and is available in bookstores Nationwide.

In 2008, 2009, and 2010, Florida International Magazine recognized Ms. Krümm as one of their Top 100 Designers in its annual Home & Design issue. In 2010, Ms. Krumm was honored to be selected as one of the top six Interior Designers in this elite group. In 2009, she was also recognized in Gulfshore Business magazine as a "Top Business Leader" in its annual "40 Under 40" issue. In 2011 and 2012, Ms. Krümm was selected to sit on the Advisory Board for Southwest Florida's elite annual home and design publication, Gulfshore Life At Home. In the 2011 edition, At Home invites readers to take a glimpse into Ms. Krümm's "Personal Space" in a revealing article featuring Ms. Krümm in her Marco Island residence. In 2011, Florida International Magazine selected Ms. Krümm as one of twenty-five top "Power Players" of Florida for their highly anticipated annual Power Player's issue.

Ms. Krümm's national notoriety is rivaled only by her growing global acclaim. Her work was featured in the book Modern Interior Design, The American Collection, which was published in China in two languages in 2009. Ms. Krümm served as the contributing editor of the hardbound book, and was honored with the responsibility of selecting leading designers to showcase their unique and varied styles of modern American design. Her projects have also appeared in Home Idea Magazine, China's premiere interior design magazine. This expansion into the overseas market is personally appealing to Ms. Krümm, as it complements her lifelong love of travel and international design. Ms. Krümm has resided in London and Florence and traveled extensively throughout Asia, Europe, North and South America, and the Caribbean. She is currently nurturing multiple art-related business ventures abroad involving her Kira Krümm signature product line The Koastal Kollection, and her fine art and design gallery, Studio International, for which she is the Creative Director. Studio International Art & Design, owned by Ms. Krümm and her husband Juan Munera, showcased their unique international art collection at the 2011 Shanghai Art Fair, as the headlining exhibitors for the Fair's inaugural American Pavilion.

Ms. Krümm's international travels have enhanced her creative perspective enabling her to develop a distinctive, unique brand esthetic. Honing in on her innate entrepreneurial spirit, her experiences abroad have inspired her signature line of luxury fine furnishings, fabrics and home d'cor for coastal lifestyles. In 2008 and 2009 Ms. Krümm presented her unique collection at the Miromar Design Center when she was selected to participate in their annual Designer Showcases exhibition. These award winning Showcases, the 2008 "Shanghai Room" Master Suite and 2009 "Yin Room" Master Suite illustrated her distinct design aesthetic and appreciation for Eastern culture, as well as her affinity for creating "havens" - spaces to relax and restore. The Kira Krümm Kollection's latest luxury bedding ensemble "Urban Zen" combines calming Zen energy with urban sophistication for coastal lifestyles, and is currently available exclusively through Angela Fine Furnishings at the Miromar Design Center.

Ms. Krümm's devotion to design began as a young art student. She attended the Governor's Magnet School for the Arts at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, from 1984 to 1988. During that time, she received numerous notable awards, and also participated in a fine arts gifted program at the Rhode Island School of Design. Ms. Krümm later earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts with an interior design major from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. While studying art and design at VCU, she presided as the Senator for the School of the Arts on the Student Senate Executive Board and acted as President of the Fine Arts Council. In 1992, Ms. Krümm received a special scholarship from her university and continued her studies of interior design, furniture design and architectural photography as a World Study Scholar at the American College in London. Ms. Krümm quickly began establishing a reputation for excellence as the owner of a prosperous interior design company in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Ms. Krümm primarily designed upscale residential and commercial projects, including several of the area's most fashionable and successful restaurants, while earning an array of awards for her work. In 2000, she relocated to Naples, FL, and soon established her highly regarded firm Kira Krümm International Design. She selected the Miromar Design Center, Southwest Florida's premier resource for design professionals and consumers, as the location for her unique, full service design studio.

As an accomplished designer, Ms. Krümm continues her dedication to the arts and her community. In addition to her affiliation with many national and international trade organizations, she is involved with several regional fine arts and civic organizations. She is a member of the Marco Island Chamber of Commerce and is the former Vice President and Visual Arts Chairman for the Marco Island Foundation for the Arts, and acted as the Chairman of the Selection Committee for Art Quest, the first public sculpture exhibition on Marco Island. Ms. Krümm was appointed a member of the Marco Island City Arts Advisory Committee by The Marco Island City Council and actively planned an annual arts festival for the City of Marco Island in 2011. Also in 2011, the Marco Island Academy invited Ms. Krümm to join a select panel of community leaders on the newly established advanced learning academy's 2011-2012 National Advisory Board.

Ms. Krümm is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID); the International Interior Design Association (IIDA); the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA). She is a Professional Member of the International Council of Interior Architects and Designers (ICIAD), and is an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and is proud to be certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), which recognizes individuals who have met industry standards for the practice of interior design.

Ms. Krümm is a GREEN Accredited Professional in Interior Design and a member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, an international organization that promotes and encourages sustainable practices in the home furnishings industry. Ms. Krümm is pursuing her LEED accreditation which will recognize her through the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) as a Leader in Energy and Environmental Design.
