Ms. Carlin’s role as the lead associate interior designer for Kira Krümm Interior Design allows her to demonstrate her proficiency and enthusiasm throughout the design process. Ms. Carlin also serves as the client liaison for Kira Krümm Interior Design, and deftly helps to hone each facet of the company’s projects, from implementing computer-aided design drawings to selecting the finest furnishings and ultimately installing the final touches in a client’s home.
Since she joined Kira Krümm Interior Design, Ms. Carlin has collaborated closely with Ms. Krümm on numerous award-winning projects. Ms. Carlin credits those experiences with the development of her personal design philosophy: “Through interior design, we can transform people’s personal environments and create tranquility through space and balance,” she explains.
Ms. Carlin has displayed her dedication to interior design at every turn in her career. In 2005, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Florida, earning the top spot in her interior design class as well as bachelor’s degrees in design and business. During her education, Ms. Carlin aided the Interior Design department in gaining FIDER reaccreditation and interned at various commercial and residential design firms, gaining significant industry experience. She studied abroad in Vicenza, Italy, a city that is regarded as the “center of all architecture.” In her travels, she became immersed in Europe’s architecture, history and culture, all of which furthered her love of design.
After graduation, Ms. Carlin possessed the determination necessary to succeed in today’s design field. Her dream to find an innovative Southwest Florida residential design firm with an intense emphasis on client satisfaction was fulfilled when Ms. Carlin found her niche at Kira Krümm Interior Design. She joined the company in 2004 as an interior design assistant, and immediately flourished in the firm’s lively, fast-paced atmosphere.
In 2007, Ms. Carlin passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), an examination that recognizes an individual has met industry standards for the practice of interior design. Ms. Carlin is now a licensed interior designer in the State of Florida, an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers and International Interior Design Association (IIDA).
