Interior Design Associate
We currently have an Interior Design position, training as a Design Assistant with rapid growth to Design Associate anticipated for the right candidate. We are seeking a dedicated professional with a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design with a minimum of 2 years career experience and is pursuing NCIDQ certification for licensing. Must have experience, leadership ability, a great personality, exceptional organizational and communication skills and have a polished professional image as a representative of the company. Technical Skills: Advanced CAD skills as well as experience in all Microsoft based programs, QuickBooks Pro software, and Adobe Photoshop.
We are offering growth in a positive environment. Design Assistant, to train 90 days. After the 90 day training is completed, there will be an evaluation, with the possibility of being offered a Design Assistant or Design Associate salary position with benefits, depending upon experience and skills.

Job Descriptions:
Interior Design Assistant Responsibilities
- Accept tasks delegated by Associates and work as a team member to assist the company
- Act as a liaison and or representative between Designers, Clients, Vendors and Contractors
- Understand and utilize Quick Books Pro, Microsoft Word Excel, Outlook and Auto CAD
- Create detailed CAD plans for projects including flooring plans, elevations, details, sections and any other format to illustrate the project
- Source and price materials and products for projects
- Obtain material specifications and samples
- Maintain specification spreadsheets with updated information
- Produce accurate purchase orders and estimates following guidelines from KKID
- Enter job and Client data accurately for all purchase orders, and estimates
- Obtain confirmation and acknowledgement on all orders and alert Designers of any back orders or discontinued items
- Track purchase orders to assure delivery dates and keep delivery schedule updated with any changes through out the tracking process
- Schedule and facilitate installations
- Coordinate and direct deliveries and installations
- Prepare for all client deliveries with floor plans, purchase orders and warehouse list of all goods being delivered
- Inspect goods upon delivery and carefully document any damaged items
- Facilitate claim process on damaged goods
- Assist in communications and coordinating meetings with Clients
- Assist in preparing proposals and giving presentations to Clients
- Obtain and return samples and blueprints
- Prepare and track project budgets
- Help keep the design library and office organized and samples put away
- Assist in administrative work such as, phone calls, making appointments, organizing job information, typing memos, letters, faxing, corresponding with Clients and subcontractors
- Assist in training and directing Interns
- Assist in training new Design Assistants
Interior Design Associate Job Description
An Interior Design Associate acts as the Project Leader with the Principal Designer or with another Design Associate. An Interior Design Associate’s objective is to lead and facilitate successful design projects.
As a Project Leader, the Interior Design Associate will be in charge of specific company projects and is directly responsible for the accuracy quality and timely completion of their projects.
The Interior Design Associate will act as the representative for the company and as a liaison between the Clients, Contractors and Vendors.
